Established in Turkey in 2007 as a flat steel and rolled sheet processing centre, it operates in the Aksaray Organised Industrial Zone. The company manufactures mechanical infrastructure and connection elements for various solar energy systems, including ground-mounted solar power plants, rooftop solar power plants, car park solar power plants, agricultural irrigation solar power plants, New Generation Trackers, and connection parts. It also provides services in the fields of structural engineering and pile driving. Operating under the principle of ‘Short Lead Time, High Quality,’ it aims to deliver its products in accordance with international standards and with short delivery times.
SMI Grup has a daily production capacity of 2 MW and an annual production capacity of 490 MW as of 2024. The company's target for 2025 is to reach a daily production capacity of 3 MW and an annual production capacity of 780 MW. The company is one of the leading companies in its sector with a daily production capacity of 100 tonnes and ranks among the best in Turkey in galvanised, magnelised and hot-dip galvanised steel processing. It currently has a project with a capacity of 1500 MW. Increasing production capacity and expanding production diversity are among the company's main objectives. With the establishment of a slitting line, it has a processing capacity of 1,800 tonnes.

Ground-Mounted Solar Power Plants: Offers two main models: Concrete-Mounted Systems (for loose ground) and Pile-Mounted Systems (for solid ground).
Roof-Mounted Solar Power Plants: Offers solutions suitable for different roof types such as Sandwich Roof, Membrane Roof, and Tile Roof.
Car Park PV Systems: Transforms car park areas into systems that both provide shade and generate energy.
Agricultural Irrigation PV: Provides energy for agricultural irrigation using solar-powered pumps and motors, particularly effective in areas where the electricity grid is unavailable or costly.
